    The PERFECT Angel Biscuits!

I have been in search of the PERFECT biscuit recipe for several months now.  Personally, I believe that Pillsbury Grands fits all my criteria for a good biscuit but I’ve been wanting to try my hand at some homemade ones. I’ve tried about six different recipes and they never turn out quite the way I want.  They were either too hard, tasted too much like flour, or it simply wasn’t the consistency I was going for.  Every recipe spins off of a pretty basic recipe, but some call for buttermilk, some do not, some call for self-rising flour, some do not.  I wanted something that was SIMPLE. In all the trial…

You Asked For It and I Got It!

After I posted my Halloween pics, I had a couple of commenters want a recipe for my hubby’s fantabulous chili.  After much prodding and begging for the secret recipe – I finally got it for you. Let me remind you this is my husbands recipe so “alot” of it is to taste although this is the “base” that he follows. BIG DADDY CHILI 4 cans of beans (pinto, black, kidney and chili) 4 pounds of meat (we used venison but you can use hamburger or ground turkey) 2 cans stewed tomatoes 2 cans diced tomatoes 1 can tomato paste 2 cans green chilis jalapenos – seeded and deveined (we used 6 but…

    Pumpkin Marshmallows

These have to be the cutest things I have made in a long time A big thanks to Betty Crocker Wannabe! {Tee Hee…} I just can’t get over how stinkin’ adorable they are! Unfortunately I didn’t have as much yellow food coloring as I thought I did so half of the batch is a little more red than I would have liked. I’m thinking that James’ friends won’t mind one though. I also decided to use pretzel sticks for the stems instead of Popsicle sticks. First of all pretzel sticks are a heck of a lot cheaper AND now the entire thing is edible. I for one won’t be eating any though.…
