Having the perfect cocktail for summer makes all of the hot days a little easier to handle. At least in my world. Picture it – lounging by the pool with your kiddos and friends and having this bright Bubblegum Mint Mojito in hand – PERFECTION!

Want to know how to make your own? Here’s what you need to make your own Bubblegum Mint Mojito:

  • 3 ounces homemade *bubblegum mint infused simple syrup
  • 3 ounces of rum
  • 3 ounces fresh lime juice
  • 6 ounces of carbonated soda water
  • 10 pieces of bubble gum, divided
  • Fresh mint
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • Pink food coloring (optional)
  • Pink colored sugar
  • Cocktail skewers
  • Muddler
  • Plain Simple Syrup

This recipe makes (2) 8-ounce cocktails. Double it if you’re enjoying it with friends! This recipe also takes a few days to create so plan ahead of time.

Bubblegum Mint Mojito ingredients

In a small bottle or mason jar, add 6 pieces of bubblegum, 4-5 pieces of fresh mint and 1/2 cup homemade simple syrup. Muddle the mint leaves and close. After 2-3 days, muddle again, and strain into a clean container.

To make the plain simple syrup, add 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water to a small sauce pan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, turn down heat to low and simmer for 3 minutes. Remove and allow to cool. Store in an airtight container.

Add rum, bubblegum mint simple syrup, and lime juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously. If you would like a more vibrant pink color to your drink, add 1-2 drops of pink food coloring.

On a small plate, add corn syrup and to another small plate, add the colored sugar. Rim top of glass in each.

In a 10-ounce glass, add half of your mixture from the shaker and 2-3 mint leaves. Muddle well. Add ice and 3-4 ounces of the soda water.

If desired, add a few pieces of bubblegum to a cocktail skewer to garnish.

You must know that I am not a huge fan of mint – but these bubblegum mint mojitos changed my opinion!

This is the perfect sweet drink for a chill night with your friends around the pool or if you’re hosting a party.

Think 4th of July – you can change the colors of this to red, blue and white! Just get different bubblegum and food coloring. EASY!!
