Nothing says America like red, white and blue! Here’s how you can transform Oreo Truffles into a customized holiday treat!
Oreo Truffles are a holiday staple in our house. Most everyone in my house loves Oreos and being able to dress them up into a new fun treat is always a good idea.
There is something new about Oreo Truffles but I love tailoring them to the holidays.
These Red, White and Blue Oreo Truffles are perfect for all of your Memorial Day, 4th of July or Labor Day celebrations.
Ingredients:
8oz cream cheese, softened
I package (36) OREO Cookies, finely crushed (about 3 cups)
In a stand mixer or large bowl, mix cream cheese and cookie crumbs until blended.
Roll into 48 (1-inch) balls.
Freeze for 10 min.
Add white chocolate to a microwave safe bowl and heat in 1 minute increments, until melted, stirring between each heat session.
Dip balls into melted chocolate; place in single layer in shallow waxed paper-lined pan.
Add red candy melts to a ziplock bag or pastry bag and heat in 30 second increments until melted, kneading the bag in between each heat session.
Snip off the very corner of the bag, and using a back and forth motion, drizzle over each OREO cookie ball.
Add sprinkles while red candy is still hot.
Place in refrigerator for 1 hour until firm.
These are easy enough to let your kids or grandkids help out. Little hands love sprinkling the fun on top of the Oreo Truffles!
Use your imagination when it comes to how you can transform these into many other holidays or celebrations that you have coming up. Simply use different colors and you’re set!!
