Rainbow Gnomes DIY
Nothing goes together more perfectly than rainbows and gnomes so you’re going to enjoy creating this Rainbow Gnome to give as a gift or to enjoy yourself.
Gnomes started popping up everywhere in decorating a couple years ago and while I thought it was going to be a short-lived phase, I think I was wrong. They are still going strong and so I figured it was time for me to get on the bandwagon and start bringing you some more DIY’s.
Here is what you need to make these adorable Rainbow Gnomes are:
- Scissors
- Dollar Tree Twine
- Hot Glue Gun
- Dollar Tree Kids neon sock set
- Dollar Tree Foam Cone
- Dollar Tree Fuzzy Pen
- Pearl Bead (I had a pack from Dollar Tree)
Start by taking one of the neon green socks and place the foam cone inside it.
Using the scissors, cut down the side of the fuzzy pen and then pulled the fuzzy part off, this will be for the beard.
Trim the beard down to a size to fit the cone (about 3 x 3 inches).
Then using hot glue, add a line to the backside of the fuzzy fur and press firmly onto the cone where you want it, with some of the fur hanging down on the bottom.
Next, take one of the hot pink socks and put it over the top of the cone to create the hat.
Trim the end and then cut a 5 inch piece of twine and created a bow around the end of the sock. Trim the ends of the twine.
Add a dab of hot glue to the pearl bead and add to the fuzzy fur right under where there pink sock meets the fur.
Now you have an adorable Rainbow Gnome that is perfect for spring and summer!
What do you think?
I think he absolutely adorable and I can’t wait to see what you create for yourself with this tutorial!
Are you a gnome lover? Like I said, it took me awhile to get on the bandwagon but I’m slowly adjusting.

I haven’t been a fan of gnomes even the ones in gardens. As cute as some have been hasn’t changed my mind. But that’s ok.
