Kid’s Valentine’s Craft – Tic Tac Toe
I remember playing the game of Tic Tac Toe as a kid and loved it! I think it’s something that every kid enjoys no matter how old they are! Here’s a craft that will be perfect for the kiddo’s to help you with! I’ve made it small enough to fit in your purse so you can play with your kiddos when you’re out at dinner and playing the “waiting game” for your food. OR, it will keeps kids entertained on long car rides! This will make the perfect Valentine’s gift for any kiddo in your life.
It takes just a few simple supplies: scrap wood (roughly 4″ square), buttons or wooden discs, paint, washi tape, stamp set, and a small bag!
First, you’re going to want to paint your scrap wood and wooden buttons if you are using them. I LOVE DecoArt’s line of paint. It is perfect for small projects like this!
Once all of the paint is dry, add your washi tape in a cross cross pattern onto the scrap wood and then use a stamp set and stamp some designs on the wooden discs. I used some “love” themed ones simply because I was creating this for Valentine’s Day.
Think Christmas tree for Christmas, ghosts for Halloween, numbers and letter for Back to School! The possibilities are limitless!
You can stop here and start playing the game with your wooden discs or buttons or you can create a muslin bag. I used iron on vinyl to fancy up the outside of the bag a bit.
Store the scrap wood and tic tac toe pieces that you created into the drawstring bag and it’s ready for any vacation or gift giving!
I know for me games like these are lifesavers sometimes! Tic Tac Toe and Box are popular games that we play when we are out to eat and just waiting.
I can’t wait to make ALL the holiday themed ones now!
