Make your own DIY paper valentine fortune cookies as a fun and creative way to express your love this Valentine’s Day! This DIY is easy to make and can be personalized with your own fortunes. Perfect for gifting or as a fun activity with your loved one.
This Valentine’s fortune cookie is going to be a quick and easy project that you can do with the kids and grandkids – or just for yourself since they’re so adorable! These would also be fun to make as a classroom party craft!
And to make the process even simpler for you, I’ve attached a printable that you can download that has all of the fortunes already done for you! You just put the cookies together and insert the fortunes and you’ve got an FUN fortune cookie to open up with the sweeties at your Valentine’s Day dinner!
Begin by cutting circles in your scrapbook paper 4 to 4.5″ circle. You can trace something to make your circles. If you have any electronic cutter like a Cricut or a Silhouette, it makes cutting circles a breeze.
Next, you are going to want to cut all of your fortunes to size. You can create your own or use the FREE ones that I created for you.
Print your paper fortunes and place one fortune onto the back of a circle and gently fold in half without creasing.
Using your finger, gently press the middle of the paper the opposite way making sure that the fortune doesn’t slide out. Then put a dab of hot glue to hold it together.
I got this mailbox from Target Dollar Spot and it was perfect for storing these in.
Fill it with a couple fortune cookies and candies and you have an adorable gift for a kiddos, a teacher or a neighbor!

This is such a fun idea! I’m going to be making some things for Valentine’s Day with my kids! We’ll have to put these on our list.
I hope you enjoy making them! I look forward to hearing about it!
I want to make these! The grands would love to find them. Such a cute idea.♥️♥️
Oh this is such a cute idea!! Love it, will have to see if I can do it this year.
I absolutely love crafts like this! Perfect for fun things to hand out to friends!
This is the perfect project for that!!
Obsessed with these! Such a cute idea!
Me too!!! I make them every year 😉
These are so cute! I actually got one of these from a student for Valentine’s Day when I worked at a school and it was the one of the cutest cards I received!
You can also make these out of felt. I would make a little smaller; maybe 3.5-4 inch circle.
Thanks, Beth, for the darling idea and template of fortunes! Hugs! ❤
