Updating your home doesn’t have to be hard or time-consuming! With this peel and stick wallpaper, you’ll have a room transformed in a day with no mess!
I love a good transformation! Styles tend to change with the seasons sometimes and since I am all about home decor, I love being able to change things quickly and easily.
I shared a recent hallway transformation with the Walls Need Love Peel and Stick Wallpaper and I LOVED it so much that I knew I wanted to apply it another room as well.
Our master bedroom has been sort of a catch-all for several years. I knew it needed to be a sanctuary for my husband and I and so I just needed to bite the bullet and get it done!
I painted the walls in the room a couple years ago when I “tried” to start the transformation but then the project kind of fizzled out. Until I found this amazing peel and stick wallpaper!
To start, you’re going to want to wipe down your wall to remove any debris and residue. Yes, dust builds up on your walls, surprisingly!
Once you know the measurements of your wall(s), Walls Need Love will send you exactly what you need. The sheets of wallpaper were in a single roll and I just cut off the sections that I needed to begin my project.
Beginning at the top, begin by removing the paper backing and adhere to the top part of the wall with a little bit of overlay. Unfortunately walls are VERY RARELY straight and so you will need to use a level to make sure that your design stays straight.
Press out all of the air bubbles so that your panel is smooth before moving onto the next.
Taking your next panel, you will remove some of the paper backing and line up your design. There is about a 1/4 inch of overlay on the sides. That’s OK. We’re going to trim that when we’re done.
Once your two panel pieces are adhered to the wall, take the craft knife provided and very carefully, trim the excess overlap. It’s better to leave a little extra than to remove too much. If you remove too much you will have your wall color showing through.
Here’s a shot of the accent wall being halfway done.
Continue all the way across the wall and them trim excess off of all bottom edges and top edges.
It truly was the quickest and easiest transformation I have ever completed and there was no mess like traditional wallpaper!
I love the way the peel and stick wallpaper brightens up the room. The simple design brought just the right amount of personality to the room.
