A Thanksgiving turkey isn’t going to be a crowd pleaser if it’s dry and lacking flavor! This turkey brine is going to become your new favorite, creating a moistly delicious turkey every year!
One of the most common complaints when it comes to cooking a Thanksgiving turkey is that is is dry. It is hard to cook for the extended period of time that we do and have it come out juicy.
Years ago, I started brining my turkey and was pleasantly surprised at how different the turkey turns out. I have been on a mission to perfect the best brine recipe and I am happy to say, I finally have!
Gather up all your goodies, cut your apples and put it all in a BIG pot or tub that your turkey will fit in (I use my roasting pan).
The 24 hours of goodness is going to make an amazingly delicious turkey that is not dry at all!
I promise you won’t be disappointed in your try it!
I will never go back to anything but brining my turkey for the holidays!

So do I soak my turkey in this for the 24 hours or just add the turkey during roasting and baste it?
You will soak it in this for 24 hours! I will get that added and updated to the post 🙂
Looks delicious ????
Thank you! Can’t wait to try it!
You’re welcome! I hope you enjoy it
Thank you Beth. Will try this.
Do you refrigerate it during the brining time?
Yes!!
Beth, do you drain it before roasting or leave it in there?
You do need to drain it
I’d love to try this… does the whole turkey have to be covered when brining?
Pretty close to completely if you can’t get it submerged all the way
