    Wooden “Ho Ho Ho” Blocks

Holiday decor seems to change every year for me!  Since I dabble in woodworking and love painting, I am always making new things for my mantle or porch!  Every year I have a favorite, and this year, it may just be these!  I had some extra bells hanging around from another project and so I wanted to put them to good use. Here’s how to make your own “Ho Ho Ho” Wooden Blocks! You’re going to need three pieces of wood that are approximately 6″x10″.  I use pine wood which makes for easy cut and it’s wide enough to stand on it’s own.  You’re also going to need a drill…

Every house needs some Black Cat decor for Halloween!  You can make these “scary” or “cute” AND they’re the perfect craft for the kids to help paint! Here’s how you can make your own black cats with your kids! All you need is scrap wood, paint and raffia!  Seriously ladies, it doesn’t get much easier than that!  If you don’t have raffia on hand, you can use twine.  Just unravel the ends after you tie it in a bow so it’s “wild” like a cat’s whiskers 😉 Let’s get started: You need (1) 2×4 cut to about 8″ give or take.  This is purely preference. You can also make…

Hobby Lobby is that place that I really should stay away from!  But alas…..I can’t…and I won’t.  So when I went in BEFORE Christmas and bought these craft cones for a Christmas projects….they sat and never got attended to. I opted to use some fancy stuff that I love to cover them along with some snow…because here in Kansas, we usually have snow in February. Ceiling Medallion DIY 3 simple steps

Anybody that creates feels a sense of satisfaction!  Standing in the kitchen and creating a new dish is satisfaction for some.
