These scrap wood Easter Bunnies will be the easiest thing you’ll ever make for your holiday decor! Grab your girlfriends or kiddos and make some together!
Want a simple craft project to add some freshness to your Easter decor? Then I’ve got the perfect DIY for you! I always have extra wood pieces laying around – but for those of you that don’t, you can easily buy sample wood pieces at Hobby Lobby and still create these adorable bunnies!
Cut a 2×4 to about 4″ long. Make sure there sanded so there are no splinters.
Add one coat of gray paint and let dry.
Add a second coat of white paint.
Once the paint is dry, sand to distress.
This allows some of the gray color to show through. The more you sand, the more distressed it will be.
I used my vinyl cutter to cut out my bunnies but you can easily print them out and trace them onto any scrapbook paper and cut them out with scissors.
I prefer to use patterned paper because I believe it adds character. This set from Target has some adorable papers in it! I used three different papers but you could easily make them all the same. It’s all up to your decorating style – I tend to like LOTS of colors!
Using some thin ribbon, tie bows and hot glue them to the bunny necks. This pack from Target is adorable!
Once your bunnies are cut and the ribbon is attached you can hot glue them to prepped the wood blocks.
And that’s it!
Stack them to display or line them up in a row like they’re marching into Spring!!
Aren’t these scrap wood easter bunnies adorable!! They’re so easy, that any DIY’er can do them!! It’s the perfect project to get started into crafting.
What are you creating in preparation for Easter? What colors would you use for your bunnies? Would you go with spring colors or create them in your everyday decor colors to keep decorating simple and clean?
