Find out how can make your own Fairy Garden Water Globe from just a few Dollar Tree items. This is the perfect project to welcome warmer weather.
There is something about fairies that make me and most people smile. Fairies are magic and whimsical. That makes this the perfect project to bring a little whimsy to your spring decor.
Fairies and glitter – there’s not much else that could make it better!
Using your hot glue gun, place a decent amount on the inside of the jar lid.
While the glue is still hot, cut off a small portion of the Easter grass and press it into the hot glue to secure it. You don’t need a lot. You can trim some of the long pieces but not all of them. Some of them can be left long so they float in the water.
Using your fairy garden figurines, hot glue them to the inside of the lid. I bought three packs (fairies, woodland animals and sign posts) so that I could have one of each in my Fairy Garden Water Globe.
Using the small plastic mason jar, fill it up with water to ALMOST full.
Using large fleck glitter, put about a teaspoon into the jar. You don’t want to use the fine or ultra-fine because it will tend to clump in the water.
Very carefully, put your lid on making sure to make sure that the long grass pieces are inside the jar.
Very TIGHLTY screw the lid on. It will leak if you don’t have it on tight enough. You could use some E6000 but it isn’t necessary if you get the lid on correctly and tight enough.
This is a FUN project to do with your kiddos that is SUPER CHEAP! You could even have a little girl’s Fairy birthday party and let all of the girls create their own Fairy Garden Water Globe. It comes out to a little over $3 for each globe. The bag of Easter grass that you’ll get will make SEVERAL and you’ll still have some leftover.
