These EASY 4th of July Marshmallow Pops will be a hit at your next celebration! Check out how how simple they really are to make!
I don’t know about you, but it seems like marshmallows always bring out the fun! They aren’t a typical treat around a house unless you’re making smore’s or something like that. At least, that’s the way it is in my house.
That means when I brought these out, the kids knew we were doing something special! Let me tell ya – these will give you a MAJOR sugar high but they’re adorable and the kids LOVE them!
They are SUPER SIMPLE to make with just a few ingredients too!
The first step is putting the marshmallows onto the paper straw. You could use any straw really, but I thought THESE paper ones were adorable! For this treat, you’re going to want to use “three” marshmallows per pop.
Next, you get to do the decorating! Your kiddos will LOVE helping with this part.
If you have an icing tip that fits the icing container, you can use that. Otherwise you can put the icing in a baggie and snip the corner. Smaller is better!
On the bottom two marshmallows do the red icing and then on the top one do the blue icing.
The last steps is taking your candies and sprinkling them onto the blue icing. You want to do this before the icing dries so that it will stick.
This will make your “stars”. If you’re feeling REALLY fancy, I’m sure you can find some white or gold star candies to use.
I think these turned out adorable! You don’t have to make very many for them to make a statement! Gather them up and display them in a mason jar or lay them on a plate, as shown. I used some sprinkling sugar to dress up the plate some.
