Feeling stuck in the daily grind? Discover how shifting your perspective can help you find meaning and purpose in the smallest moments of life. Learn how to embrace your story and build something extraordinary with God’s guidance.
Have you ever felt like you’re stuck in the daily grind—busy, exhausted, and wondering if anything you’re doing really matters? It’s a feeling I’ve had more times than I can count, and it can be so hard to shake. But the other night, I remembered a story that gave me a fresh perspective—and I think it might do the same for you.
There were three workers building a home, each one laying bricks. When someone asked what they were doing, the first said, “I’m laying bricks so I can earn a paycheck.” The second said, “I’m building a wall.”
But the third worker stood tall, a sparkle in his eye, and said, “I’m building something beautiful—a home for a family to love and grow in.”
Same task, same bricks—but their purpose changed everything.
This story reminded me why I’m so passionate about helping others craft their God-given stories. Our purpose, our mindset, and the way we see our own journey make all the difference. When we shift our perspective, we start to see how even the smallest actions are part of something so much bigger.
Some days, life feels like laying bricks—tedious, messy, and monotonous. You wonder if any of it is adding up to anything meaningful. But here’s the truth: every small moment, every ordinary effort, every “little thing” you do is building something extraordinary.
It’s not always glamorous, but it’s meaningful. When I look back at my journey, I see how the small, faithful steps—even when I didn’t understand them at the time—were laying the foundation for something beautiful.
When I slow down enough to notice the small things, I see God’s fingerprints everywhere. It’s in the laughter of my kids, the satisfaction of finishing a creative project, or the heartfelt connections I get to make with women like you.
I’ve learned to train my mind to look for joy in the simplest things:
The little things are never little—they’re where the real beauty lives.
One of the most freeing truths I’ve discovered is that I don’t have to do this on my own. God is the ultimate architect of my story, and when I invite Him into the process, He takes even the broken pieces and uses them for something good.
Even when life feels overwhelming or uncertain, I’ve learned to trust that He’s with me in the building process. He sees the big picture, even when I can’t.
Friend, I know life can feel heavy sometimes, like you’re building and building but not seeing the results. But I promise you—your story is so much more than the bricks. Every piece matters. Every small moment is part of the bigger picture God is painting for your life.
That’s why I created the Crafting Your God-Given Story workshop. It’s not about having it all figured out. It’s about finding meaning in your story, trusting God’s hand in the process, and discovering how to make the most of every chapter. This workshop is about so much more than crafting—it’s about embracing your purpose, connecting with your story, and building something beautiful with God’s guidance.
