I’ve Got A TRASHY Pumpkin!

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

Every once in awhile I stumble upon an awesome piece of trash!  Or in this case, my step dad did.  You know what they say, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”

He found two of these amazing wind turbines and snatched them up just knowing that I could do something cool with them.  My husband LOVES {insert sarcasm} trash mysteriously arriving at my house from friends and relatives {love you honey}!

As soon as I saw this arriving in my workshop, I immediately thought PUMPKIN!  It’s not an ingenious idea, I know, but it turned out SOOOOO cute!!

All it needed was a coat of bright orange spray paint, some raffia, a bright green burlap ribbon and a stem and VIOLA – you have a PUMPKIN!!!  Isn’t she adorable?  She makes my heart happy 🙂

Now, run out and go dumpster diving, or visit your local Habitat for Humanity Restore, or, I don’t know, beg your friends and family for one.  I’m sure someone has a roof that needs a shiny new one 😉

{disclaimer – wind turbines tend to have sharp edges, please make sure you keep them away from little fingers…and use caution for yourself too}

  1. Now I’m going to have to start looking for a turbine! Love this. Thanks for adding it to the Bloggertunities Share Thread. I’m sharing it on my Friday Faves.
