Valentine’s may be a cheesy holiday for you, but for me it is one of my absolute fav’s and this Valentine’s Camper is perfect!
As a kid we went camping ALL the time. I remember sleeping in tents and then we graduated to the pop-up trailer. Life as an adult is different and we don’t camp since our kids were in sports for much of their life, but I still love the camper life. We do have dreams of being back there someday.
This Valentine’s Camper wood piece came from the Valentine’s section at Hobby Lobby and when I saw it I was immediately in love with it!
I also used my FAVORITE Enchanted Shimmer from DecoArt. You can purchase that at Hobby Lobby. It give the perfect pearlized finish if you want to just add a little something extra to your projects. I used it on the door heart, the banner, and the awning.
My favorite Apple Barrel is the multi-surface because of the sheen that it has, but you can use any colors that speak to you and make you happy.
Check out the process.
Once it was all painted the way I wanted, I started to add the details.
I got this felt heart banner from Hobby Lobby and wanted to layer it onto the top of the pennant banner that was on the camper. Since the hearts were a lighter pink than I wanted, I simply used my Pink Eraser color from Apple Barrel and painted the felt.
Last, I thought the window needed a little embellishing and so I added some fringe ribbon that I picked up at Walmart.
I think this is just the cutest thing ever and truly want to leave it out all year. It may have to transition to my master bedroom.
