In every interaction we have, we have the ability to be kinder than we are.
📌 Maybe you were driving to work this morning and someone else was being an aggressive driver leaving you angry and irritated.
📌 Maybe your boys pee’d on the toilet seat for the umpteenth time.
📌 Maybe your server brought your food to you and it was cold or not what you ordered.
📌 Maybe your spouse rubbed you the wrong way and you’d rather lock yourself in the bathroom with a glass of wine and a warm bath.
Yes, some days it’s hard. Some days don’t want to hear the “fluff” and you just want to be alone and not worry about anyone else. While other days are easier and you have kindness seeping out of every pore in your body.
Maybe the human being needing kindness today is YOU. If you catch yourself snapping at someone, I urge you to take a step back and ask yourself why.
You can’t offer kindness to others if you aren’t giving it to yourself. Start there. When you’re kind to yourself, you will naturally be kind to others. Think about it – if you’re angry with yourself that anger will trickle to others.
