The passing of seasons and holidays signals change – and I love it! Change brings newness in life and in decor! Today, I am revealing my Easter Mantel with you! It was all done and ready as soon as St. Patrick’s Day was done – I don’t waste time around here on decorating 🙂
Most of the items on my mantel have been made me – that’s just how I roll. But guess what, I can make them for you, or I can tell you how to make them yourself!
I made this Easter Bunny banner last year and it is going to be that piece that I use every year! I love it! It takes a little paint, burlap banners, twine, fabric and small clothespins! Check out how to make one here!!
These little cuties show a date on the bottom of 1990! That means I painted them when I was probably a freshman in high school. My grandmother did ceramics and we always got together and painted close to once a week. She truly is where I got my love of painting from. And that mason jar? Another simple project! Take a simple mason jar, paint it with THIS paint, and when it’s dry, sand to distress it!
This piece was part of a craft group that we did a couple years ago and it’s still one of my all-time favorite projects! It has two reversible plaques that say “SPRING”, “EASTER”, “SUMMER” and “4TH OF JULY”. It’s perfect because it can stay up so long through the spring and summer!
And the shutter and fake window was built by me last year! I’ll get a tutorial put together on those for you ASAP! They are so simple and can be decorated in some many ways! I usually hang fancy wreaths off of the shutters at Christmas time! Sooooo pretty!!
What do you display on your mantel for Easter? Do you keep it simple and just change out a few things or do you do an entire makeover? I’d love to see yours!
