It has just the right combination of chocolate and milk that brings provides the perfect creaminess that you want in a hot chocolate recipe.

Here is what you need to make your own Creamy Hot Chocolate Mix:

3 cups dry milk
2 cups cocoa powder
3 cups powdered sugar
1 T nutmeg
dash salt

I have always just bought Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate and while I think they have mastered the hot chocolate world, I wanted to take a stab at making my own mix. And I must say, I hit it out of the park!

Dry milk isn’t a common store item in today’s world but it’s a must for this creamy hot chocolate mix. You can find it in the baking section of most stores.

Combine all of the dry ingredients and store in an air tight container.

YES, I still make it with milk even though I am using dry milk in the mix. That is what makes it creamier!

Top with marshmallows and enjoy!
