Valentine’s Fortune Cookies – SIMPLE DIY
We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

Valentine’s crafts are my absolute FAV!! I am smitten with all things pink, hearts, glitter and love and it is one of my favorite holidays.
This Valentine’s fortune cookie DIY is going to be a quick and easy project that you can do with the kids and grandkids – or just for yourself since they’re so adorable! These would also be fun to make as a classroom party craft!
And to make the process even simpler for you, I’ve attached a FREE printable that you can download that has all of the fortunes already done for you! You just put the cookies together and insert the fortunes and you’ve got an FUN fortune cookie to open up with the sweeties at your Valentine’s Day dinner!
Here’s how you can make your own Valentine’s Fortune Cookies!
Supplies Needed:
- Scrapbook paper
- Fortunes – check out the FREE download I created for you!
- Hot glue
Begin by cutting circles in your scrapbook paper 4 to 4.5″ circle. You can trace something to make your circles. If you have any electronic cutter like a Cricut or a Silhouette, it makes cutting circles a breeze.

Next, you are going to want to cut all of your fortunes to size. You can create your own or use the FREE ones that I created for you.

Gently, lay one fortune onto the back of a circle and gently fold in half without creasing.

Next, using your finger, gently press the middle of the paper the opposite way making sure that the fortune doesn’t slide out. Then put a dab of hot glue to hold it together.

And that’s it!!! You now have the CUTEST Valentine’s fortune cookies to give to your loved ones or as a classroom treat.
You can change the scrapbook paper to create these to match the colors that you decorate with. You also don’t just have to create them for Valentine’s Day. These would be fun for St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas!

The Target Dollar Spot always always has little mailboxes around Valentine’s Day that are perfect for storing these in. You can grab a mailbox and use it as is, or you can paint it whatever color you want and add some vinyl to it to dress it up! Fill it with a couple fortune cookies and candies and you have an adorable gift for a kiddos, a teacher or a neighbor!
